The Michelin Stars on the most exclusive gastro route in Extremadura

Atrio an exclusive three Michelin Star in Cáceres, has placed the city in the Spanish orbit of ranking restaurants. And Versátil, as the Michelin Star of the rural world, has joined this group.

Atrio has earned the position of being synonymous with ¨haute cuisine¨ in the heart of a place like Cáceres, which is a World Heritage City. On the other hand, Versátil is like a pearl in Zarza de Granadilla, a town in the north of Extremadura that has less than 2000 inhabitants. It is located a quarter of an hour from Granadilla and a quarter of an hour from Cáparra, two centers for tourism in the Province of Cáceres. 

A rural hotel in Sierra de Gata, at the border town of Valverde del Fresno, named Habitat Cigüeña Negra (The Black Stork Habitat) has earned a Michelin Green Star. There are only 61 restaurants in Spain with this recognition of sustainable gastronomy.

The people from the Michelin Guide distinguish restaurants that offer high quality food at affordable prices, this recognition is called the Bib Gourmand. The celebrated restaurants in Extremadura with this important recognition are Villa Xarahiz in Jaraiz de la Vera; Nardi in the city of Hervás; El Molino in Madrigal de la Vera; Acebuche in Zafra and Alberca in Trujillo.

The Repsol Guide Honors Extremadura with Soles and Soletes (Suns and Small Suns)

If we navigate by the Repsol Guide, Atrio shines again in Cáceres with three Soles.  Additionally, twelve restaurants are distinguished in this Province, each with one Sol: Versátil is added in the Capital city to Borona Bistro, Homarus, Javier Martin, Torre de Sande and Eustaquio Blanco. In Badajoz they shine with Acebuche, Galaxia, Dromo, Lugaris and Marchivirito. Villa Nueva de la Serena boast a Sol with Mandukar. Additionally, the Repsol Guide recommends a list forty-four venues in Extremadura, in its latest edition.
